Dr. Pornchai Thiraveja, Director-General of the Fiscal Policy Office and Spokesperson of the Ministry of Finance has reported thatthe Ministry of Finance is hosting the 29thAPEC Finance Ministers’ Meeting (APEC FMM) and related meetingson 19th – 20thOctober 2022, held on-site in Bangkok.

Mr. Pornchai Thiraveja, Director General of the Fiscal Policy Office and Spokesperson of the Ministry of Finance, stated that the government’s net revenue collection in the first 11 months of fiscal year 2022, October 2021 – August 2022, was 2,256,250 million Baht. The collected revenue was higher than the revenue target by 117,898 million Baht or 5.5%, and higher than the same period of last year by 6.8%, mainly due to the collected revenue from Revenue Department as value added tax and corporate income tax expanded following economic, consumption, and import expansion. Meanwhile, the collected revenue from Excise Department was lower than target as a result of the temporary tax cut on diesel to alleviate the impact of high energy prices.

the government’s net revenue collection in the first 10 months of fiscal year 2022, October 2021 – July 2022, was 2,037,459 million Baht. The collected revenue was higher than the revenue target by 105,908 million Baht or 5.5%, and higher than the same period of last year by 5.8%

the government’s net revenue collection in the first 9 months of fiscal year 2022, October 2021 – June 2022, was 1,857,524 million Baht. The collected revenue was higher than the revenue target by 111,208 million Baht or 6.4%, and higher than the same period of last year by 6.4%

in the first 8 months of fiscal year 2022 (October 2021 - May 2022), the government has received 1,509,499 million baht of revenue on cash basis and disbursed 2,115,843 million baht of expenditure.
