the Ministry of Finance are hosting the APEC Senior Finance Officials’ Meeting (APEC SFOM) on 22nd – 23rd June 2022, held on-site in Khon Kaen. The meeting is chaired by the Director-General of the Fiscal Policy Office, with representatives from APEC member economies and international organizations such as the Organization for Economic Cooperation (OECD) and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in attendance. In the morning session of 22nd June 2022, the meeting has discussed related issues in Sustainable Finance, the outcomes of which have been reported in yesterday’s press release. Moreover, the meeting has discussed the issues related to Digitalization for Digital Economy in the afternoon session of 22nd June 2022, and the New Strategy for Implementation of the Cebu Action Plan (New CAP) on 23rd June, 2022.

the second day of the APEC Finance and Central Bank Deputies’ Meeting (FCBDM) on 17th March 2022 hosted by the Ministry of Finance via a virtual meeting platform under the theme of “Advancing Digitalization, Achieving Sustainability”. Chaired by Mr. Krisada Chinavicharana, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Finance, APEC member economies presented views and practices on APEC Finance Ministers’ Process (APEC FMP) priorities: sustainable finance and digitalization for digital economy.

Mr. Pornchai Thiraveja, Director General of the Fiscal Policy Office and Spokesperson of the Ministry of Finance, stated that the government’s net revenue collection in the first 5 months of fiscal year 2022, October 2021 – February 2022, was 911,661 million Baht, which was higher than the revenue target by 46,942 million Baht or 5.4% and higher than the same period of last year by 7.0%.
