Mr. Pornchai Thiraveja, Director General of the Fiscal Policy Office and Spokesperson of the Ministry of Finance, stated that the government’s net revenue collection in the first 5 months of fiscal year 2022, October 2021 – February 2022, was 911,661 million Baht, which was higher than the revenue target by 46,942 million Baht or 5.4% and higher than the same period of last year by 7.0%.

To finance such deficit, the government has borrowed 338,465 million baht. Therefore, the treasury reserve at the end of January 2022 was at 403,579 million baht.

the government’s net revenue collection in the first quarter of fiscal year 2022, October – December 2021, was 557,173 million Baht. The collected revenue was higher than the revenue target by 29,651 million Baht or 5.6% and higher than the same period of the previous year by 5.6%. The collected revenues from the Revenue Department and the remittances from the State-Owned Enterprises were higher than the targets by 49,695 and 6,362million Baht or 13.7% and 15.1%, respectively.
