Mr. Pornchai Thiraveja, DirectorGeneral of the Fiscal Policy Office and Spokesperson of the Ministry of Finance, stated that the government’s net revenue collectionin October 2021, the first month of the fiscal year 2022, was 194,336 million Baht. The collected revenue was 10,868 million Baht or 5.9% higher than the revenue target and 12.9% higher than the same month of the previous year. The collected revenues from the Revenue Department and the remittances from the State-Owned Enterprises were higher than the targets by 6,952 and 5,350 million Baht or 6.1% and 15.7%, respectively.

in the fiscal year 2021 (October 2020 - September 2021), the government has received 2,441,464 million baht of revenue on cash basis and disbursed 3,208,653 million baht of expenditure. To finance such deficit, the government has borrowed 736,392 million baht. Therefore, the treasury reserve at the end of September 2021 was at 588,747 million baht.
